The Washington Post endorses Jim Webb over George Allen, and the Allen c(r)amp resposnes by finally making it official that Georgie Porgie thinks Webb is a pervert because of a FICTIONAL father/son blowjob scene Webb penned eons ago in a piece of FICTION. Let's hear it for the moralists! Let's hear it for the tyrants who would take away our right to write and read what we please! Can ya hear the jackboots coming? Don't ask for who the jackboots stomp. They stomp....for YOU.

Can't believe Allen was dim enough to have his own folks release this nonsense. I mean, Wonkette admitted she knew of the FICTION quotes for weeks. Drudge had them on his page. A number of blogs hither and fro made mention of them,...as did I right here.

Let's see if the Allen team will next cut loose the talk of Webb swabbing the decks with a femme middie's fanny back in the day! They were lunatic enough to release this BS on their own, they's likely be lunatic enough to cut loose the Webb/womanizing allegations as well. Like anyone cares!

The Washington Post endorses Bobby Smooth for relection as Governor. Say what the fuck!?

Pigs are flying. Hell has frozen over. The Washington Post just lost one subscriber. Does Smooth have pics of the Post's editors in compromising positions? Does Smooth know hypnosis?

Hate to say it, hombres and hombre-esses, but this misguided endoresement will cause some problems for Celtic Rock God Martin O'Malley in his quest to ruffle and unseat Smooth. Smooth is already using the "Endorsed by The Washington Post" tag in all his TV ads. Worse yet, Rasmussen says this race - which the Celtic Rock God once led by double digits - is now a three point race. Even worse, leaks in the Rock God's camp say Smooth is now leading, according to the Rock God's own internal tracking polls.

A week ago the O'M's could have moved in to the Gov's mansion and set up studio. I know CRG had a bad week, but Jesus F'n Christ! This is fucking scary - but, then again, tomorrow is Halloween.

Maxon Dixon releases a poll showing George "Poster Boy for Tolerance" Allen leading Dem challenger Jim "I don't recall sleeping with her" Webb by 4 points. That's margin of error territory folks, in a poll taken by registered voters instead ong likely voters. But still,...

It makes you wonder how much behind the scenes damage is being done on those leaks about Webb's ALLEGEDLY checkered past, which if you believe the goons spreading the crapola is akin to the pretty much accepted checkered past of one President Elvis Clinton.

Webb should be smokin' Allen at this point, at least based UPON THE ISSUES THAT MATTER!! I think the damage being done by Webb's detractors both in the Navy Academy (or so say my sources) and the wingnut bible thumpers in Virginny in their yakking and hacking up alleged affairs from a quarter century ago is taking a real toll. F'n pity, really. At least this "Melissa Harrington" whose name's been cropping up as being the middie Webb dated (if, indeed, the woman exists) ain't talking!

Again, if Webb really did swab the deck with a female middie A QUARTER CENTURY AGO, who the Hell cares? How does that screw up our economy? How does that end the war? How does that make up for Macaca?!

Maryland is asleep, at least for the most part. I did hear, however, that Gov Bobby Smooth is cutting loose with some nasty-ass ads featuring the survivor of some family taken out by drug dealers. Dirty, dirty, politics.....And reeking of desparation. If the people of MD let Smooth get away with this and send his ass back to Annapolis for four more years, they deserve everything they get.

Elvis Clinton comes into the VAMD squawking grounds last week, but did his visit really do anything to change teh fortunes of those running whose fortunes may change?

Clinton is still a rock star, but maybe some of the luster has faded after 6 years - at least as concerns him stumping for embattled Dem Senate candidate, James Webb. Webb still can't shake the charges and questions concerning his, how would some say, "Clintonesque" past - at least when it comes to women, and Clinton's appearane on his behalf did next to nada to kill the "chick talk."

For those of you who've read this Blog (thank you, thank you!) you know someone logging in as cmdr80 and someone else whose name I care to not even try to recall at present, have hit Webb with fairly specific charges concerning philandering, infidelity, and - gasp! - abuse of power. None of this is provable, mind you, but it appears to be taking its taking hold amongst the bible thumpers and what not. At times like this, I'm actually kinda glad the media tilts a bit to the left. I'm sure Webb and the women in question - if any of this nonsense is true (so what if it is!?) are glad the media hangs that way as well since that means the press is a lot less likely to cover any story.

Apparently no one, since all the comments I've received have concerned Virginia and the Webb/Allen fiasco,....er, campaign.

The main races in MD do appear to be over. Can't wait, though, to see The Man of Steele run better against Benjy Cardin that Bobby Smooth runs against the Celtic Rock God Mayor!

It's about damned time Bill Clinton flexed his muscle out yonder in these relatively close environs!

In Virginia,...

Clinton tooted the horm for author and war hero turned Senate Candidate Jimmy Webb in Webb's glorious attempt to unseat the uncultured, at best, Senator George Allen - who continues his love affair with the Bush Admin and the war in Iraq. Clinton, who survived some risky and risque moments with women-not-Hillary may also have tipped Webb on how to survive certain, alleged, salaciousness that may be coming out about Webb's own past.

Though who Webb may or may not have boffed makes not one iota of difference (or it shouldn't, at least)...I've got people continuing to whistle in my ear that Webb's whole sexual-history shithouse is about to explode. (Signed affidavits may not be out of the question here, folks. Sad. Very sad.) At least Webb had a shot to talk to Clinton, the MASTER, on how to handle these type of negative attacks. Whether he took that opportunity or not, Webb is at least fighting back. A day ago his campaign team issued a statement concerning "Scurrilous" attacks against Webb that are popping up on the internet. You go, Jimmy! Fight the man! Fight for your right to PART-AY! (And kick Allen's ass in the process...)

Clinton did double duty for Maryland's crop of Dems. In the afternoon, he gave a mover and a stirrer in Fells Point on behalf of Benjy Cardin, who does appear to be getting more of a run for his money from the Man of Steele in the Senate race than expected. A recent SUSA poll had this race tied. Bullshit. Benjy's going to beat Michael, but probably not by much. If nothing else, Steele did and does have some damned funny TV ads, though I am sure they must've drugged that damned Terrier.

In the evening, Clinton - a Rock Star in his own right - highlighted a fundraiser on behalf of The Celtic Rock God, Martin O'Malley, Mayor Emeritus, who is going to bludgeon Bobby Smooth, Outgoing Gov. on November 7th. I'm telling you folks, bringing in Clinton is almost overkill for the Celtic Rock God at this point. Marty is going to blow Bobby Smooth's doors off. I'm looking for Smooth to lose by 8-10 points, which means he will run well worse than the Man of Steele will in his race against Benjy. (See above!)

In Virginia,...the loonies are coming out in force over this whole "Did Jim Webb Knock Knees With a Midshipman Back in His Naval Academy Days?" nonsense. It is showing up everywhere now, and for what possible, legit, reason? Is the salacious news interesting? I guess, from the point of view of someone who is so uptight they can't have a fork stuck in 'em. Is it important news? Really, now, who the Hell cares? Well, who cares other than the bible thumpers and George Allen quacks and hacks who apparently have nothing else to talk about to help bolster their guy - so they have to tear down a war hero and author of fine fiction who may or may not have scrubbed the deck with a middie.

Sheesh, even Wonkette.com took a hit at ME yesterday for this stuff appearing on MY site as though I was pushing it! What's a poor boy to do, other than keep his chin up and not let the naysayers say nay for "mistakes" (if you can call it that) he may have made in the past. I'm talking about Webb, not moi.

A Zogby Poll just out says Celtic Rock God Mayor and Gov candidate Marty O'Malley is smoking GOP Gov Bobby Smooth Ehrlich by 16 points. 16 MF'n points! And Smooth is still insisting he is gonna get re-upped for four more years. Yesterday, I reported that the RNC had opted to pull it's resources from MD, and I advised Katie O'M she could start measuring for curtains. Today, I suggest she and the Rock God just start moving into the Gov's Mansion.

Glad to know, though, that despite these horrendously bad numbers, Gov Smooth still does the important work for the people of MD: Last week, Smooth's first lady held her annual "Fashion Show" fundraiser....and this week Smooth popped cash out of more wallers with his "Athletes for Bobby" fundraiser. Those folks shoulda saved their dough for season tickets!

Okay, so now I've got two -TWO comments claiming Virginia's Darling Jim Webb is a skirt chaser. Whoo-Hoo! That really hurt Clinton, didn't it? Nice try Wing-Nuts. Very nice! And as for Webb's FICTIONAL ACCOUNT of some hard muscled solider popping his kid's cock into his mouth, may I again say: IT IS FICTION. WEBB WRITES FICTION. There was no 'oral sodomy' here, save maybe in Webb's "Writer's Mind." IT IS FICTION.

Get real issues. Not this drivel no one really cares about! If VA voters cast their ballots on the issues that matter, George Allen will be home for the Holidays - and Jim Webb can write MORE FICTION while also serving as a US Senator!

Hate to say it, but word is coming down that Gov. Bobby Smooth actually did very well in his debates against the Celtic Rock God Mayor in their battle for Governor. Is Smooth's performance enough to change the dynamics of the election? Doubtful, especially since I've picked up that the RNC has opted to NOT SEND IN THE TROOPS FOR SMOOTH ON ELECTION DAY. Still, this race will tighten - but not enough to make up for the 8-9 point lead the Rock God currently enjoys over Smoothie.

In the Senate race, will the Man of Steele please stop tormenting Terriers and terrorizing trashcans,....and actually address some real issues - like why he continues to run and hide from GWBush a mere two years after singing his praises at the GOP convention? ...and this is my first blog post and it's about what is going in in those states that most interest me from my perch here on the left side of the infield; the states surrounding the Nation's Capitol?!

In Virginia, well,....just as I was starting to think we'd be able to honestly say we'd be seeing the last of George Allen, it seems as if the Jim Webb bubble is pretty damned close to bursting.

Word is bubbling up from Annapolis-Regions (You know, home of the USNaval Academy) that the former Naval Sec and Wannabe Senator dated some statuesque, lovely, blonde babe back in the day,...while he was married to wifey numero uno and teaching at the Naval Academy and while the blonde in question was - get this - a midshipman. (Wonder if that's against regulations?) I've heard from more than one source there is real juice to this tale of Webb mopping the floor with this middie. Who is this wonder woman who got tangled in Webb's web, and can this flap be kept under the rug until November 8th? Further, after Willie Jeff Clinton, does it really matter? If true, Webb's "dating" the blonde babe was sooooo 1979! Guess Webb thinks women might not be able to Fight, but they sure can F*ck! All in all, something of a bummer...

Now,..in Maryland, all Hell appears to be breaking loose...sort of like the GOP's chances of holding on to the State House (Sianora, Bobby Smooth!) and capturing the Senate Seat being vacated by the Silent Senator Sarbanes. Seems Gov Bobby is going to get his tail kicked by the Celtic Rock God, O'Malley - and the Man of Steele is going to be no match for Benjy Cardin, even with Cardin having had the temerity to bring in that woman Chi-town to announce to the world that Steele, as if we didn't already know, is....an African American! (And then Cardin fired the woman, no less!)
